Learning and Teaching About Anti-Asian Hate Crimes
Join IDSJ on Tuesday, March 23, at 8:00pm ET, for a free Facebook Live panel: “Learning and Teaching About Anti-Asian Hate Crimes: From Pre-K to Post-Doc.” This important event will be moderated by Shanelle Henry, IDSJ Co-founder and Director of Equity & Inclusion at Greens Farms Academy; and will feature Dr. Khyati Y. Joshi, IDSJ co-founder and professor in the School of Education at Farleigh Dickinson University; Dr. Liza Talusan, Strategic Partner & Facilitator at LT Coaching and Consulting and Associate Instructor at the University of Massachusetts Boston; and Dr. Judy W. Yu, Founding Director of REACH® and faculty at Queens College, School of Education.
This panel will provide the historical and current context surrounding anti-Asian racism and how to teach and talk about related topics. The panel is geared toward anyone who wants to better understand how Asian American students, families and communities are impacted by racism.
