MLK DAY & Beyond-- Reparations: What is All the Talk About?

For the first time that many of us can remember, presidential candidates are talking about reparations for African Americans. This complex and controversial issue has generated widely different proposals for compensation of injustices begun with slavery but not resolved with Emancipation. Many Americans are aware that reparations have been made in other nations, and in our own country to Japanese Americans who had been interned during World War II.

Our MLK Day of Service 2020 program was held on Monday, January 20 from 2 to 3:30 pm at Shady Rest at Scotch Hills Country Club. Attendance was large and energy was palpable.
